The fate of NOx emissions due to nocturnal oxidation at high latitudes: 1-D simulations and sensitivity experiments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The fate of nitrogen oxide pollution during high-latitude winter is controlled by reactions of dinitrogen pentoxide (N2O5) and is highly affected by the competition between heterogeneous atmospheric reactions and deposition to the snowpack.

Development of Substrate‐Independent Antifouling and Bactericidal Surfaces Using Visible Light Cross‐Linked Hydrogel Coatings for Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A new antifouling, antithrombogenic, and bactericidal hydrogel coating method is developed for implantable medical devices. The hydrogel coating can be easily formed by visible‐light crosslinking and is universally applicable to all substrates, ranging from polymers to metals.

Quantification of metallic copper and nickel in their binary mixtures by voltammetry of immobilized microparticles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We report the use of voltammetry of immobilized microparticles for the quantification of metallic copper and nickel in their binary mixtures. Twenty-two electrolytes were investigated in order to obtain well-separated oxidation peaks.
