Abundances of trace constituents in Jupiter's atmosphere inferred from Herschel/PACS observations [PDF]

open access: yes
$Context.$ On October 31, 2009, the Photodetector Array Camera and Spectrometer (PACS) on board the Herschel Space Observatory observed far-infrared spectra of Jupiter between 50 and 220$\,\mu$m as part of the program "Water and Related Chemistry in the Solar System". $Aims.$ We investigate the disk-averaged chemical composition of Jupiter's atmosphere

Supramolecular Chemistry in Metal–Organic Framework Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights synergies between reticular chemistry and supramolecular chemistry. The role of supramolecular interactions in determining framework…guest interactions and attempts to understand dynamic behavior in metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), particularly emphasizing the development of crystal sponges, studying reactions in frameworks and ...

Optimizing Perovskite Surfaces to Enhance Post‐Treatment for Efficient Blue Mixed‐Halide Perovskite Light‐emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The halide postdeposition process is optimized by engineering blue mixed‐halide 3D perovskites with acetate‐rich surfaces. This engineered perovskite minimizes the washing effect of isopropanol, which slows down surface reconstruction and ultimately promotes the formation of a uniform mixed‐halide perovskite phase.

Nitrogen migration and transformation characteristics of the soil in karst areas under the combined application of oxalic acid and urea inhibitors

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science
ObjectiveWe investigated the horizontal migration and transformation of nitrogen in soil with oxalic acid and inhibitors (e.g., nitrification inhibitors, DMPP, urease inhibitors, and NBPT) under different soil water contents to provide a basis for the ...

Passivity of Metals in the Point Defect Model: Effect of Chloride [Part-III] [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
In this paper we study the effect of addition of chloride on the stability of the compact oxide layer pre-existing on a metal surface at a given impressed potential and . The variant of the point defect model (PDM)advanced by us recently is used to construct a theory for the chloride-induced build-up of metal vacancies at the metal-film interface and ...
