Thermal diffusivity of ammonium perchlorate.
AIAA Journal, 1966Abstract : A method was developed to measure the thermal diffusivity of poorly conductive materials. The method is absolute and rapid, and requires only small samples; tests of materials with known thermal properties confirm its accuracy. The thermal diffusivity of compressed ammonium perchlorate powders was measured as a function of porosity, particle

Electrical conductivity of ammonium perchlorate
Solid State Communications, 1967Abstract Electrical conductivity measurements, using an applied d.c. potential, have been made on a single crystal of ammonium perchlorate. An interpretation of the conductivity plot has been tentatively based on the assignment of the Frenkel defect structure to the crystal in the orthorhombic form and Schottky disorder in the cubic form.

Kinetics of ammonium perchlorate decomposition
Reaction Kinetics and Catalysis Letters, 1976The kinetic law of ammonium perchlorate decomposition in the presence and absence of metal oxides has been studied. Sublimation has also been considered from the kinetic point of view.

Thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate
Combustion and Flame, 1968Abstract The decomposition of ammonium perchlorate and ammonium perchlorate-copper chromite mixtures has been studied in the temperature range from 250°C to 325°C. The products of decomposition were identified and the yield of each was established. Good recovery of N and Cl was achieved.

Adiabatic decomposition of ammonium perchlorate
Transactions of the Faraday Society, 1966An adiabatic method for studying exothermic solid reactions has been developed. Adiabatic conditions can be maintained in samples of a few grams weight for rates of temperature rise from 2–150 deg./min. The adiabatic decomposition of NH4ClO4 has been studied in the temperature range from 240–325°C.

Explosive behaviour of ammonium perchlorate
Combustion and Flame, 1967The detonatability and detonation velocity of ammonium perchlorate (AP) were studied as functions of diameter, loading density and particle size. AP was chosen as typical of a group of explosives which differ from TNT-like explosives in behaving more ideally in the high porosity region.

Decomposition equations of ammonium perchlorate
Journal of Biochemical Toxicology, 1963AbstractThe data existing for the thermal decomposition equations of ammonium perchlorate (AP) have been reviewed after reducing them to a common basis (100 moles of AP). They have been evaluated from two points of view: (a) stoicheiometric balance of the elements present, and (b) establishment of thermodynamic equilibrium of the final gaseous products.
