1-Benzoyl-3-(5-quinolyl)thiourea

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2009
The title compound, C17H13N3OS, was obtained by the reaction of benzoyl chloride, ammonium thiocyanate and 5-aminoquinoline in the presence of polyethyleneglycol-400 (PEG-400) as a phase-transfer catalyst.

Non-collinear magnetism in the post-perovskite thiocyanate frameworks CsM(NCS)$_3$ [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
AMX$_3$ compounds are structurally diverse, a notable example being the post-perovskite structure which adopts a two-dimensional framework with corner- and edge-sharing octahedra. Few molecular post-perovskites are known and of these, none have reported magnetic structures.

1.4% External Quantum Efficiency 988 nm Light Emitting Diode Based on Tin‐Lead Halide Perovskite

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The tin‐lead based halide perovskite film with the 3‐AMP passivate exhibits a significantly longer carrier lifetime of over 1 µs compared to the neat films (0.43 µs). The optimized tin‐lead halide perovskite LEDs show a single emission peak at 988 nm and an external quantum efficiency (EQE) of ≈1.4%.

Heterocyclic systems containing S/N regioselective nucleophilic competition: Facile synthesis, antitubercular and antimicrobial activity of thiohydantoins and iminothiazolidinones containing the benzo [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2005
The required compounds N-aryl-N'-(3-chloro-2-benzo[b]thenoyl)-thioureas 1a-k were prepared by condensing 3-chloro-2-benzo[b]thenoyl chloride with different arylamines using ammonium thiocyanate, which in turn when treated with chloroacetic acid, yielded ...

Strengthening the magnetic interactions in pseudobinary first-row transition metal thiocyanates, $\it{M}$(NCS)$_{2}$ [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Understanding the effect of chemical composition on the strength of magnetic interactions is key to the design of magnets with stronger exchange interactions. The magnetic divalent first-row transition metal (TM) thiocyanates are a class of chemically simple layered molecular frameworks.

Recent Advances in Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ubiquitous defects predominately account for photo‐instability and open‐circuit voltage losses in wide‐bandgap perovskite solar cells (WBG PSCs). This review comprehensively presents the underlying impact mechanisms, summarizes the advanced optimization strategies across various functional layers and their interfaces to develop efficient and stable WBG

Ultrasound-assisted thiocyanation of aromatic and heteroaromatic compounds using ammonium thiocyanate and DDQ

open access: yesUltrasonics Sonochemistry, 2008
Thiocyanation of various aromatic and heteroaromatic compounds has been achieved in the presence of ammonium thiocyanate (NH(4)SCN) and 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone (DDQ) in methanol solution under ultrasound irradiation. An ultrasonic probe of 24 kHz frequency has been used for this study.
