Amniotic fluid index in low-risk pregnancy as an admission test to the labor ward. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Background. Oligohydramnios has been shown to be a predictor of intrapartal fetal distress. In a selected group of low-risk pregnancies, however, it has not yet been established that oligohydramnios contributes to intrapartal fetal distress.

Co‐Electrospinning Extracellular Matrix with Polycaprolactone Enables a Modular Approach to Balance Bioactivity and Mechanics of a Multifunctional Bone Wrap

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The incorporation of nondigested ECM and synthetic polymers into a co‐electrospinning system enables the decoupling of bioactivity and mechanical properties within a single wrap. This technique is used to develop a multifunctional bone wrap that achieves augmented membrane durability, sustained infection control, and enhanced vascularity for use in ...

EFFECTIVENESS OF UMBILICAL ARTERY DOPPLER EXAMINATION, CARDIOTOCOGRAPHY AND AMNIOTIC FLUID INDEX APPLIED IN EARLY INTRAPARTUM PERIOD IN DIAGNOSIS OF FETAL DISTRESS

open access: yesInternational Journal of Health Services Research and Policy, 2017
The present study aims to find an alternative solution to continuous monitoring with Cardiotocography (CTG) during intrapartum management process of pregnant women with no previous antenatal follow-up, and to diagnose low-risk pregnancies and avoid the ...

Nanocellulose Alleviates Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy via Gut Microbiota‐Mediated Bile Acid Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanocellulose, derived from microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) through sulfuric acid hydrolysis or mechanical grinding to produce CNC or CNF, was tested in a rat ICP model. Particularly, CNF improved gut microbiota composition, reduced secondary bile acid metabolism, and restored bile acid homeostasis through modulation of the gut–liver axis.

Beyond Potency: Emerging Determinants and Optimization Strategies Enhancing Therapeutic Efficacy of Adult Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Adult stem cell therapy requires more than high in vitro potency. This review proposes a systems framework in which cell‐intrinsic programs, instructive microenvironmental cues, and pre‐/post‐delivery engineering are co‐designed under standardized translational rules.
