A Multi-Variable DTR Algorithm for the Estimation of Conductor Temperature and Ampacity on HV Overhead Lines by IoT Data Sensors

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
The transfer capabilities of High-Voltage Overhead Lines (HV OHLs) are often limited by the critical power line temperature that depends on the magnitude of the transferred current and the ambient conditions, i.e., ambient temperature, wind, etc.

Review on Synthesis Methods of Carbon Nanotubes as Activated Carbon Composites Based on Biomass for Supercapacitors in Electric Vehicles

open access: yesEnergy Technology, Volume 13, Issue 7, July 2025.
This work reviews various methods to synthesize carbon nanotubes and analyzes the best methods to produce composites for supercapacitors for electric vehicles. Chemical vapor deposition is found to be the best method because the produced CNTs can be used directly without purification unless the catalyst particles need to be removed.

A Modified Ampacity Calculation Method for High-Voltage Cables Considering Grounding Modes

open access: yesApplied Sciences
To address the limitation of the IEC 60287 standard in accurately representing the electrothermal characteristics of cables under different grounding conditions, this study proposes a modified equivalent thermal resistance method, using a YJLW03-Z 64/110

Analysis of excessive sheath currents in multiple cable circuits bonded to the same grounding grid

open access: yesHigh Voltage, Volume 10, Issue 3, Page 689-698, June 2025.
Abstract In urban power networks, a common practice is to bond numerous high‐voltage cable circuits to a single grounding grid located in underground tunnels, primarily for reasons of installation convenience. In these situations, excessively high levels of sheath currents were often detected during routine inspections, but no electrical faults were ...

Blockchain for Peer‐to‐Peer Energy Trading in Electric Vehicle Charging Stations With Constrained Power Distribution and Urban Transportation Networks

open access: yesEnergy Internet, Volume 2, Issue 1, Page 28-44, April 2025.
ABSTRACT The proliferation of distributed energy resources (DERs) and the large‐scale electrification of transportation are driving forces behind the ongoing evolution for transforming traditionally passive consumers into prosumers (both consumers and producers) in coordinated power distribution network (PDN) and urban transportation network (UTN).
