Counting Chromosomes in Amphibia
Stain Technology, 1954A simple technic for obtaining division figures in the gonads of amphibians in the non-breeding seasons is proposed. Salamanders were injected intraperitoneally with 0.5 ml. of a solution made by mixing 60 mg. of desiccated mammalian pituitary and 3 ml. of isotonic amphibian Ringer's solution.
