Luminescence control in the brittlestar Amphipholis squamata: Effect of cholinergic drugs
Potassium chloride and cholinergic drugs were rested on isolated arms of Amphipholis squamata; potassium chloride triggered a monophasic light emission; acetylcholine (10(-3) M) induced a luminescent response characterized by multiple flashes.

Data from: Life cycle size dynamics in Didymosphenia geminata (Bacillariophytceae)
Didymosphenia geminata has received a great deal of attention in the last 25 years, and considerable effort has gone into determining the origin, ecological impact, and economic consequences of its invasive behavior.

Iron is not responsible for Didymosphenia geminata bloom formation in phosphorus-poor rivers.
Les proliférations de la diatomée benthique de rivière Didymosphenia geminata constituent une énigme puisqu’elles se produisent dans des conditions d’appauvrissement en phosphore.

The Origin, Genetic Diversity and Taxonomy of the Invasive Diatom Didymosphenia geminata (Bacilliariophyceae) in New Zealand [PDF]
This thesis describes an investigation of the origin, genetic diversity and taxonomy of Didymosphenia geminata, in New Zealand. D. geminata, commonly known as Didymo or Rock Snot , is a freshwater diatom, a photosynthetic alga with a silica shell.
