Location of the amphitheatre in Viminacium
This paper deals with the amphitheatres and their locations within the military and urban centres on the outskirts of the Roman world. Viminacium is used as a case study for this research. It is located in Serbia, near the confluence of the rivers Mlava and Danube. Initially, it was a legionary fortress.
