Hellenistic Amphora Stamps from Kalynda
This article analyzes twenty-six amphora stamps found during the excavations at the ancient city of Kalynda in 2022-2023. Twenty are identified as being of Rhodian origin, five are from Knidos, and one is unidentified.

Abstract This study outlines the circulation of Phoenician–Punic amphorae in northern coastal Etruria, with a particular focus on Pisa (Italy), where their presence has been attested since the mid‐eighth century BCE. A set of specimens from Piazza del Duomo was analysed by minero‐petrographic and geochemical techniques.

Exceptionally well‐preserved tufas located west of Calama, Atacama Desert, Chile, designated Santa Juana tufas, record episodic wetter conditions, relative to today, over the past 500,000 years. Santa Juana facies include microbial stromatolites (flat‐lying, mounded and pencil‐like forms), phytoherms, cascadestone, flowstone and porous limestone.

A fouling‐release smart skin bioinspired by the shape‐changing behavior of octopi for removing biofilms in near‐still water conditions is proposed in this work. Active deformation of the smart skin is powered by novel twisted spiral artificial muscles (TSAMs).
