Fujita's Conjecture and Frobenius amplitude

open access: yes, 2008
We prove a version of Fujita's Conjecture in arbitrary characteristic, generalizing results of K.E. Smith. Our methods use the Frobenius morphism, but avoid tight closure theory.

Pion distribution amplitude from lattice-QCD [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A method is explained through which a pointwise accurate approximation to the pion's valence-quark distribution amplitude (PDA) may be obtained from a limited number of moments.

Amplitude and phase variation of point processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We develop a canonical framework for the study of the problem of registration of multiple point processes subjected to warping, known as the problem of separation of amplitude and phase variation. The amplitude variation of a real random function $\{Y(x):

Electrical pulse stimulation reflecting the episodic nature of real‐life exercise modulates metabolic and secretory profile of primary human myotubes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Here, we introduced an intermittent electrical stimulation protocol mimicking the episodic nature of real‐life exercise in vitro by alternating low‐ and high‐frequency stimulation. In comparison with widely used continuous stimulation, it enhanced the rate of glucose and fatty acid oxidation, but not the myokine release.

Thrombolytic proteins profiling: High‐throughput activity, selectivity, and resistance assays

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We present optimized biochemical protocols for evaluating thrombolytic proteins, enabling rapid and robust screening of enzymatic activity, inhibition resistance, and fibrin affinity, stimulation, and selectivity. The outcome translates to key clinical indicators such as biological half‐life and bleeding risk. These assays streamline the development of

Anti-Series Varactor Network With Improved Linearity Performances in the Presence of Inductive and Capacitive Parasitics

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
This paper proposes a varactor-based circuit technique intended for amplitude and phase control, with improved linearity in the presence of parasitic capacitances and parasitic inductances.

On the pion electroproduction amplitude

open access: yes, 2001
We analyze amplitudes for the pion electroproduction on proton derived from Lagrangians based on the local chiral SU(2) x SU(2) symmetries. We show that such amplitudes do contain information on the nucleon axial form factor F_A in both soft and hard ...

Functional Data Analysis of Amplitude and Phase Variation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The abundance of functional observations in scientific endeavors has led to a significant development in tools for functional data analysis (FDA). This kind of data comes with several challenges: infinite-dimensionality of function spaces, observation ...

Supergravity scattering amplitudes

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2023
Supergravity theories with non-minimal Kähler potentials are characterized by a non-trivial field space manifold with corresponding non-trivial kinetic terms. The scattering amplitudes in these theories can be calculated at fixed background field values by making a field redefinition to Riemann normal coordinates.

NOTCH2NLC Repeat Expansions in Parkinsonian Disorders: Clinical and Neuroimaging Characteristics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) is a neurodegenerative disorder caused by NOTCH2NLC GGC repeat expansions, with heterogeneous clinical manifestations, including parkinsonism. Recent studies have identified NOTCH2NLC repeat expansions in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) and atypical parkinsonism (aPM), suggesting ...
