Coherent Terahertz Hyper‐Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
In this paper, we review our recent discovery of a novel nonlinear effect in the terahertz frequency range, which we have termed terahertz hyper‐Raman (THYR) spectroscopy. This technique shares many characteristics with conventional hyper‐Raman spectroscopy but is applied within the THz spectrum.

Low‐Frequency Raman Spectroscopy of Polymers

open access: yesMacromolecular Chemistry and Physics, EarlyView.
Recent advances have made low‐frequency Raman spectroscopy accessible to the wider scientific community. This review discusses how low‐frequency Raman is particularly useful for researchers investigating polymers because the technique can help determine both the local and long‐range structure of materials, their thermodynamic properties, and their ...

Microphase Separation of Poly(2‐(Dimethylamino)Ethyl Methacrylate)‐b‐Poly(Tetrahydropyranyl Methacrylate) Diblock Copolymer Thin Films

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
The microphase separation of thin films of symmetric polymethacrylate‐based diblock copolymers comprising two chemically similar blocks, poly(2‐(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate) and poly(tetrahydropyranyl methacylate), is reported. The ordering of these weakly segregated diblock copolymers into lamellae structures parallel to the external surfaces is ...

A Perspective of Multi‐Reflecting TOF MS

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry (TOF MS) excels in rapid and high‐sensitivity analysis, making it a cornerstone of analytical chemistry. But as sample complexity explodes in omics studies, so does the need for higher resolving power to ensure accurate results.

High throughput characterization method of electrical and phonon properties by dielectric resonant spectroscopy

open access: yesMaterials Genome Engineering Advances, EarlyView.
In conventional theories, electron‐phonon relaxation time τe‐p ${\tau }_{e\mbox{-}p}$—the average interval between two consecutive electron‐phonon collisions—is assumed to be independent of electron density. In this study, we establish a new relationship of τe−p=C∗·T−1·n−1/3 ${\tau }_{e-p}={C}^{\ast }\mathit{\cdot }{T}^{-1}\mathit{\cdot }{n}^{-1/3 ...

High‐density MRI coil arrays with integrated field monitoring systems for human connectome mapping

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop and test two high‐density MRI coil arrays with integrated field monitoring systems for enhanced diffusion imaging with strong diffusion‐sensitizing gradients. Methods Two multichannel head coils were constructed for first‐ and second‐generation 3T Connectome MRI scanners, incorporating 64 and 72 receive channels ...
