Quantum secure direct communication over the collective amplitude damping channel

An efficient quantum secure direct communication protocol is presented over the amplitude damping channel. The protocol encodes logical bits in two-qubit noiseless states, and so it can function over a quantum channel subjected to collective amplitude damping.

Quantum correlation versus Bell-inequality violation under the amplitude damping channel

Abstract We investigate the quantum correlations including quantum discord and entanglement under the amplitude damping channel. Our analysis results indicate that although the entanglement of initial state is degraded due to decoherence, the distribution trend of entanglement is not to be affected.

Linear-optics realization of the qubit amplitude-damping channel using phase modulation

A conditional realization of the single-qubit amplitude damping channel is proposed. Kraus operators are probabilistically realized in dual-rail frequency basis by use of phase modulation and a fiber Bragg grating, resulting in success probabilities >31.5%.
