ENTANGLEMENT-ASSISTED CLASSICAL INFORMATION CAPACITY OF THE AMPLITUDE DAMPING CHANNEL [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters B, 2003
In this paper, we calculate the entanglement-assisted classical information capacity of the amplitude damping channel and compare it with the particular mutual information which is considered as the entanglement-assisted classical information capacity of this channel in Ref. 6. It is shown that the difference between them is very small.

Decoherence and entanglement degradation of a qubit-qutrit system in non-inertial frames

open access: yes, 2011
We study the effect of decoherence on a qubit-qutrit system under the influence of global, local and multilocal decoherence in non-inertial frames.

3D‐Printed Serial Snap‐Through Architectures for Programmable Mechanical Response

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A serial snap‐through architecture is realized using compact 3D‐printed von Mises truss units arranged in a staged cascade. Their geometry and boundary conditions program multistage mechanical responses with plateaux and re‐hardening regimes. An inverted‐compliance model predicts these behaviors and enables analytical design of programmable force ...

Quantum speedup in noninertial frames

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
We investigate the speedup evolution of the system under the influence of the Unruh effect, where one of the observers (e.g., Bob) is uniformly accelerated.

A comparative study of protocols for secure quantum communication under noisy environment: single-qubit-based protocols versus entangled-state-based protocols

open access: yes, 2016
The effect of noise on various protocols of secure quantum communication has been studied. Specifically, we have investigated the effect of amplitude damping, phase damping, squeezed generalized amplitude damping, Pauli type as well as various collective

Effects of tidal-forcing variations on tidal properties along a narrow convergent estuary [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
A 1D analytical framework is implemented in a narrow convergent estuary that is 78 km in length (the Guadiana, Southern Iberia) to evaluate the tidal dynamics along the channel, including the effects of neap-spring amplitude variations at the mouth.

Micropatterned Biphasic Printed Electrodes for High‐Fidelity on‐Skin Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Micropatterned biphasic printed electrodes achieve unprecedented skin conformity and low impedance by combining liquid‐metal droplets with microstructured 3D lattices. This scalable approach enables high‐fidelity detection of ECG, EMG, and EEG signals, including alpha rhythms from the forehead, with long‐term comfort and stability.

Dynamics of multipartite quantum steering for different types of decoherence channels

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Multipartite quantum steering, a unique resource for asymmetric quantum network information tasks, is very fragile to the inevitable decoherence, which makes it useless for practical purposes.

Direct Evidence of Topological Dirac Fermions in a Low Carrier Density Correlated 5d Oxide

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The 5d oxide BiRe2O6 is discovered as a low‐carrier‐density topological semimetal hosting symmetry‐protected Dirac fermions stabilized by nonsymmorphic symmetries. Angle‐resolved photoemission spectroscopy, quantum oscillations, and magnetotransport measurements reveal gapless Dirac cones, quasi‐2D Fermi surfaces, high carrier mobility, and a field ...

Detecting positive quantum capacities of quantum channels

open access: yesnpj Quantum Information, 2022
Determining whether a noisy quantum channel can be used to reliably transmit quantum information is a challenging problem in quantum information theory. This is because it requires computation of the channel’s coherent information for an unbounded number
