EMG amplitude estimation using adaptive whitening

Proceedings of the First Joint BMES/EMBS Conference. 1999 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology 21st Annual Conference and the 1999 Annual Fall Meeting of the Biomedical Engineering Society (Cat. No.99CH37015), 2003
Previous research showed that whitening the surface electromyogram (EMG) can improve EMG amplitude estimation. However, conventional linear-filter whitening fails at low EMG amplitude levels, perhaps due to additive background noise in the measured EMG signal.

Variational estimate of a breakup amplitude

Physical Review C, 1983
Estimates of the correction to the Born amplitude are obtained from a variational principle. A wave packet representation is used to provide an off-shell amplitude in a time-independent theory of collisions. The theory is applied numerically to a breakup reaction p+/sup 3/H..-->..p+n+d.

Amplitude Estimation from Speckle Interferometry

1989
Speckle interferometry and, most often, more sophisticated developments aiming at image reconstruction rely on the estimation of the object spectrum amplitude. It is therefore essential for optical image plane interferometry to obtain reliable amplitudes by using well understood procedures.

Amplitude Estimation from Diluted Array Interferometry

1989
This seminar is intended to describe some practical considerations regarding the measurement of the modulus of the visibility function of a source. After reminding basic principles of operation and measurement processes in simplified ideal situations, systematic and random effects occuring in real world are looked at, on a rather descriptive and ...
