Damped CAPES 2D Spectral Estimation for Real-Valued Vibration Signals
We propose a 2D representation in the frequency-decay factor plane of an arbitrary real-world vibration signal. The signal is expressed as the sum of a decayed-attenuation sine term modulated by an amplitude function and a noise residue.

A Novel Phase Enhancement Method for Low-Angle Estimation Based on Supervised DNN Learning
In low-altitude target situation, the multi-path signals cause the amplitude-phase distortion of direct signal from targets and degrade the performance of existing methods.

Fast Amplitude Estimation for Low-Voltage Ride-Through Operation of Single-Phase Systems
Estimating the amplitude of the grid voltage is important for low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) operation in single-phase systems. It requires fast dynamics and is typically achieved through a phase-locked loop (PLL).

Performance analysis of multivariate complex amplitude estimators [PDF]
We consider multivariate complex amplitude estimation in the presence of unknown interference and noise. Two multivariate approaches [Maximum Likelihood (ML) and Capon] are provided. We derive the closed-form expression of the Crame/spl acute/r-Rao bound (CRB) for the unknown complex amplitudes.

Gravity‐Dependent Modulation of Downbeat Nystagmus: Insights From Velocity‐Storage Dysfunction
ABSTRACT Objective Downbeat nystagmus varies with head position, a phenomenon termed gravity‐dependent modulation. We aimed to clarify its mechanism using a velocity‐storage model. Methods In 10 patients with downbeat nystagmus due to cerebellar disorders, we recorded eye movements at different pitch‐ and roll‐axis head positions.

Rapid estimation of tsunami earthquake magnitudes at local distance
A tsunami earthquake is an earthquake event that generates abnormally high tsunami waves considering the amplitude of the seismic waves. These abnormally high waves relative to the seismic wave amplitude are related to the longer rupture duration of such

ABSTRACT Objective Treatment of disorders of consciousness (DoC) remains a major clinical challenge, and noninvasive, targeted modulation of deep brain structures has emerged as a promising therapeutic strategy. We aimed to evaluate the feasibility/safety and preliminary effects of thalamic temporal interference stimulation (TIS) targeting centromedian‐

Iterative Amplitude Equalization for Frequency Estimation (IAE-DFT)
The accurate frequency estimation of sinusoidal signals remains a key requirement in precision instrumentation and signal analysis, particularly in applications where noise and spectral leakage affect the measurement accuracy. This paper introduces a new

Global Rather Than Vertical‐Selective Saccadic Abnormalities in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy
ABSTRACT Objective To test whether vertical saccades are preferentially affected in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Methods PSP patients (n = 24) were compared to age‐matched controls (n = 94) and two degenerative groups (Alzheimer's disease, n = 20; Lewy body disease, n = 50).
