Parsing Reward Processing Substages With Multimodal EEG–fMRI

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 3, 15 February 2026.
Reward processing is complex and parsing anticipatory from consummatory substages will develop a more specific taxonomy of neural motivation and pleasure systems. Our multimodal data indicate EEG–fMRI covariance linking reward feedback EEG measures to dACC‐striatal regions, while reward anticipation EEG measures covaried with motor planning and ...

Research Progress in the Treatment of Vaginitis With Bioactive Compounds: Targeting of Vaginal Microflora

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 15, Issue 1, February 2026.
Mechanism diagram of the effect of herbal medicine on vaginitis. Herbal medicines mainly combat vaginitis by (A) inhibiting bacteria, (B) inhibiting fungi, (C) acting on the cilia of Trichomonas, (D) inhibiting virus replication, (E) repairing the mucosa, (F) enhancing immunity, and (G) maintaining the microecological balance.

Abstract Languages describe “who is doing what to whom” by distinguishing the event roles of agent (doer) and patient (undergoer), but it is debated whether they result from nonlinguistic representations that may already exist in preverbal infants and nonhuman animals. The phenomenon of causal perception, where the subsequent movements of two objects A

Rat models of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders for studying the critical role of cerebellar damage: A scoping review

open access: yesAlcohol, Clinical and Experimental Research, Volume 49, Issue 9, Page 1855-1876, September 2025.
In rat models used to study the effects of early alcohol exposure on cerebellum function and structure during pregnancy and lactation, the following conclusions can be drawn: (1) Exposure to ethanol during the first and second‐trimester equivalent in humans affects biochemical pathways in the cerebellum, but produces fewer structural changes.
