UFMylation of NLRP3 Prevents Its Autophagic Degradation and Facilitates Inflammasome Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 15, April 17, 2025.
This article studies the role of UFMylation in NLRP3 inflammasome activation. It reveals that UFMylation, mediated by the E3 Ufm1‐ligase 1 (Ufl1), maintains NLRP3 stability by preventing its ubiquitination and subsequent autophagic degradation.

Respiratory Viruses in Patients With Hematological Malignancy in Boreal Autumn/Winter 2023–2024: EPICOVIDEHA‐EPIFLUEHA Report

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, Volume 100, Issue 3, Page 358-374, March 2025.
ABSTRACT Community‐acquired respiratory viral infections (CARV) significantly impact patients with hematological malignancies (HM), leading to high morbidity and mortality. However, large‐scale, real‐world data on CARV in these patients is limited. This study analyzed data from the EPICOVIDEHA‐EPIFLUEHA registry, focusing on patients with HM diagnosed ...

Trem2 acts as a non‐classical receptor of interleukin‐4 to promote diabetic wound healing

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2024.
This study elucidates the pivotal role of TREM2 in diabetic wound healing. This study identified the key regulatory gene involved in diabetic wound healing as TREM2. This study has found that IL‐4 functions as an upstream ligand, activating TREM2. This study provides Evidence of the regulatory effects of macrophages by IL‐4/TREM2/AP‐1/LIF pathway on ...

Inotersen therapy of transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy

open access: yesAmyloid: Journal of Protein Folding Disorders, 2019
Background: Cardiomyopathy is a major cause of death in patients with systemic transthyretin amyloidosis. Long term effect of therapy designed to inhibit hepatic production of the amyloid precursor has not been established in cardiomyopathy.
