A subgeneric classification is proposed for Triepeolus—the second‐largest genus of cleptoparasitic apid bees in the world—and its sister genus Epeolus, with support from a newly presented dated phylogeny. Phylogenomic analysis based on ultraconserved elements revealed strong support for the monophyly of Triepeolus, which diverged from Epeolus sometime ...

A habitat‐based approach to reporting the direct impacts of an organization on biodiversity
Abstract There is a rapidly growing need for efficient but rigorous methods for organizations to assess and disclose their biodiversity impacts. We devised a habitat‐based analytical approach for estimating the direct impacts of an organization on biodiversity.

Cumulative Extreme Events Threaten Penguin Habitats Across the Southern Hemisphere
This study examines how multiple extreme events overlap across the Southern Hemisphere, focusing on hotspots of 18 penguin species across both land and sea. African, Snares, Emperor, Adélie and Galápagos penguins experience the greatest combined exposure, and most species are projected to face more frequent extremes if current trends persist.

Monitoring population extinction risk with community science data
Our modelling framework provides a robust, computationally efficient and easy‐to‐apply tool for monitoring local persistence probability that can support global conservation efforts. This will complement the monitoring of species population viability in places where standardized monitoring is still lacking, but community science observations are common.
