Machine Learning‐Assisted Design and Performance Prediction of a Compact Dual‐Band Polarization‐Insensitive THz Metamaterial Absorber for Skin‐Cancer‐Related Refractive‐Index Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A compact QASRR‐based THz metamaterial absorber enables polarization‐insensitive dual‐band absorption and skin‐cancer‐related refractive‐index sensing through measurable resonance shifts. Field, surface‐current, and circuit analyses clarify the dual‐resonance mechanism, while StackNet‐assisted prediction accurately estimates the simulated absorption ...

Enhanced Synthesis of Cs2AgBiBr6 Single Crystals via Controlled Cooling for Enhanced Dual‐Band Light Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a dual‐band photodetector based on the large‐scale, precise synthesis of Cs2AgBiBr6 single crystals. A rapid and efficient synthesis method is demonstrated, yielding high‐quality Cs2AgBiBr6 crystals with an average size of 2 × 2 × 1.5 mm3 and a production yield of 12.66%.

Intrinsic Ferromagnetism and Surface Oxidation in Nb2FeC: Revealed by Synchrotron‐Based X‐Ray Spectro‐ and Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A‐site substitution in Nb2AlC with Fe yields Nb2FeC, a near room‐temperature ferromagnetic MAX phase. Synchrotron‐based spectroscopy and scanning transmission X‐ray microscopy (STXM) with X‐ray magnetic circular dichroism reveal intrinsic bulk ferromagnetism confined to Fe layers, with weak interlayer coupling across Nb2C layer.

TWIN: Ternary Weight and Input Neural Network Accelerators Using an Experimentally Informed Ferroelectric Carbon Nanotube FET Compact Model

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric HZO thin films enable negative differential resistance in calibrated FeCNTFET models, creating stable ternary switching states for compact multi‐valued logic. The resulting device‐to‐architecture framework demonstrates efficient ternary neural‐network accelerators with substantial area and power savings, highlighting ferroelectric CNT ...

Advancing Energy Materials by In Situ Atomic Scale Methods

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
Progress in in situ atomic scale methods leads to an improved understanding of new and advanced energy materials, where a local understanding of complex, inhomogeneous systems or interfaces down to the atomic scale and quantum level is required. Topics from photovoltaics, dissipation losses, phase transitions, and chemical energy conversion are ...
