Physiological and molecular response of Anadara tuberculosa (Arcoida: Arcidae) to salinity stress.
The pustulose ark A. tuberculosa is an emblematic species of mangrove ecosystem that is currently in a vulnerable condition. The development of its aquaculture, to begin with genetic breeding programs, requires the identification of molecular biomarkers, particularly those associated with salinity stress. With this purpose, specimens of A.

Estimación de la población de Anadara tuberculosa (Bivalvia:Arcidae) en Sierpe-Térraba, Costa Rica.
A diagnosis of Anadara tuberculosa populations in the mangroves of the Forestry Reserve Sierpe-Térraba, was accomplished in June 1988. The bivalve is present in substrates with a salinity of. 16-29 0/00, and the chemical characteristics and organic malter content of the substrate do not determine the distribution of the species.
