Evaluation of anaerobic threshold in non-pregnant and pregnant rats
Several studies present different methodologies and results about intensity exercise, and many of them are performed in male rats. However, the impact of different type, intensity, frequency and duration of exercise on female rats needs more ...

Numerical simulation of growth of Escherichia coli in unsaturated porous media [PDF]
A model for the aerobic and anaerobic growth of Escherichia coli (HB101 K12 pGLO) depending on the concentration of oxygen and DOC as substrate has been developed based on laboratory batch experiments. Using inverse modelling to obtain optimal sets of parameters, it could be shown that a model based on a modified double Contois kinetic can predict cell

Tirzepatide, a dual GIP/GLP‐1 receptor agonist for diabetes, suppresses colorectal cancer growth by targeting glucose metabolism. It inhibits cancer cell proliferation, promotes apoptosis, and induces tumor regression. It reduces glucose uptake and destabilizes HIF‐1α for degradation to downregulate PFKFB3/PFK‐1 enzymes, thus contributing to the ...

Effects of dietary acid load on exercise metabolism and anaerobic exercise performance [PDF]
Dietary acid load, quantified as the potential renal acid load (PRAL) of the diet, affects systemic pH and acid-base regulation. In a previous cross-sectional study, we reported that a low dietary PRAL (i.e.

A serrated leaf‐like nitrogen‐doped copper sulfide (N‐CuS) cathode with hybridized N 2p – S 3p orbitals is presented, mesopores for oxygen transport, and a five times larger electrochemical active surface area than Cu. In aerobic conditions, a zinc–air battery with N‐CuS achieves 788 mAh g⁻¹ and 916 Wh kg⁻¹, outperforming Pt/C+RuO₂.

Cryo‐EM reveals a closed 17‐subunit LH ring encircling the RC‐LH1 complex in Dinoroseobacter shibae, featuring a novel helix‐turn‐helix subunit bridging RC and LH. Mg2⁺/Ca2⁺ stabilizes the complex, while periplasmic Cyt c₂ mediates electron transfer via a tri‐heme Cyt to the special pair of bacteriochlorophylls. Insights into energy/electron efficiency

Understanding the color change of the solutions of Cp2TiCl upon addition of water
Reduction of red bis (cyclopentadienyl)titanium (IV) dichloride (Cp2TiCl2) with manganese dust in dry THF produces a green solution of titanocene (III) but, if THF is not dry, discolors to deep blue. An experimental study, DFT calculations, and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry have been performed to study the molecular species resulting from ...
