Insights into the Photocatalytic Arene Bromination Enabled by Cs2AgBiBr6 Microparticles

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A sustainable photocatalytic bromination of electron‐rich arenes is enabled by low‐toxicity Cs2AgBiBr6 double‐perovskite microparticles using HBr as an atom‐economical bromine source. Surface‐derived bromine radicals drive highly selective mono‐bromination under mild conditions.

Economic and environmental implications of the development of UASB reactors in Mexico for sustainable industrial wastewater treatment

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Abstract The objective of this work is to demonstrate that the inclusion of an up‐flow anaerobic sludge bed (UASB reactor) within an industrial wastewater treatment plant reduces the plant's investment and operating costs compared to a system based solely on conventional complete‐mix activated sludge (CMAS), operating under the same design principles ...

Anaerobic power as a key predictor of performance in elite kayaking

open access: yesHuman Movement
Purpose The balance of low- and high-intensity training, reflecting aerobic and anaerobic capacities, respectively, varies by sport and discipline. Yet their specific contributions in male flat-water kayaking remain poorly understood. This study aimed to

The prediction of anaerobic power

open access: yes, 1980
The use of performance testing in physical education tends to be based on subjective divisions of human function into qualities such as strength, speed, agility etc. All these qualities depend on the same metabolic process and the intention of this study was to determine whether it was possible to predict the capacity of this metabolic process from ...

Anaerobic Power across Adolescence in Soccer Players

open access: yesHuman Movement, 2011
Purpose. Although the contribution of anaerobic power in soccer performance is recognized, this component of physical fitness is not well-studied in adolescent players. The aim of this study is to investigate the development of anaerobic power across adolescence in a laboratory setting. Methods.

Iron(III)‐loaded cation exchange resin: A dual approach for aqueous H2S removal and biogas desulphurization

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Left: Desulphurization method application. Right: Novel desulphurization method. Abstract The presence of hydrogen sulphide (H2S) in biogas poses significant environmental and operational challenges due to its corrosive and toxic properties. Thus, this study aimed to develop a dual‐function desulphurization system using a cation exchange resin (CIER ...
