Swab‐based anal cancer screening in men living with HIV: Projected outcomes for different screening algorithms

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 157, Issue 11, Page 2259-2268, 1 December 2025.
What's New? Screening, combined with treatment of precancerous lesions, is key to preventing anal cancer. Here, the authors compare different screening algorithms. The Early Development of the Blue‐Eye Cichlid, Cryptoheros spilurus (Cichliformes: Cichlidae)

open access: yesEvolution &Development, Volume 27, Issue 4, December 2025.
We document the early development of Cryptoheros spilurus, highlighting rapid cranial differentiation, sensory organ formation, and fin development. Ontogenetic allometry and ultrastructural traits reveal functional adaptations for early foraging and locomotion, offering insights into ecological success and the developmental basis of cichlid ...

Genotype–Phenotype Correlations, Mortality, and Clinical Insights in Keratitis–Ichthyosis–Deafness Syndrome: A Comprehensive Review and Case Report

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, Volume 197, Issue 11, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Keratosis–ichthyosis–deafness (KID) syndrome is a rare autosomal dominant ectodermal disease caused by mutations in the GJB2 gene, which encodes the gap junction protein Connexin 26 (Cx26) located on Chr. 13q12.11. This study presents the first mortality analysis associated with KID syndrome, focusing on a case report of a Latin American ...
