Cell senescence contributes to tissue regeneration in zebrafish
Aging Cell, Volume 19, Issue 1, January 2020., 2020 Tissue injury‐induced senescence is conserved in zebrafish. Fin amputation in adult fish lead to the appearance of senescent cells at the site of damage, and their removal impairs tissue regeneration. Tissue injury‐induced senescence is different from developmental senescence.
