Effect of Maternity Units' Organizational Levels on Maternal Birth Satisfaction: A Multicentric Cohort Study

ABSTRACT Introduction Maternal birth satisfaction is correlated to long‐term outcomes and is influenced by the place of birth. In Italy, most births occur in hospitals. Our study aimed to assess whether the organizational level (I vs. II) of the Maternity Unit (MU) had any impact on birth satisfaction.

Spinal ataxia and computed tomography findings in a Poitou donkey affected with congenital occipitoatlantoaxial malformation

Summary A 3‐year‐old Poitou donkey was referred for a computed tomography (CT) examination of the cervical spine due to acute deterioration of spinal ataxia. Neurological assessment revealed restricted neck mobility, hypermetria and circumduction of all limbs, indicating a grade 2 out of 5 ataxia.

Surgical management of a perineal hernia in a 24‐year‐old mare

Summary A rare case of bilateral perineal hernia was reported in a 24‐year‐old Italian Trotter mare. The mare presented a history of chronic weight loss and bilateral perineal swelling. The right‐sided swelling displayed signs of being chronic, while the left side experienced a singular episode of acute perineal swelling, coinciding with signs of colic.
