Transurethral urinary bladder eversion with vaginal prolapse of the urinary bladder in two entire female rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) and review of the literature

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 2, May 2026.
Abstract Two entire female dwarf rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus), aged 5 months and 10 years, were presented with a mass protruding from the vaginal opening. Diagnostic imaging and exploratory laparotomy confirmed the diagnosis of transurethral urinary bladder eversion. Both animals were treated successfully by surgical intervention.
