All-MOS analog digital conversion techniques

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, 1978
MOS LSl technologies have recently shown their potential for use in precision analog-to-digital (A/D) and digital-to-analog (D/A) converters. Serial A/D converters with 11-bit accuracy and 100-ms conversion time, and successive approximation A/D converters with 10-bit accuracy and 25- \mu s conversion time have been demonstrated.

An Unusual Electronic Analog-Digital Conversion Method

IRE Transactions on Instrumentation, 1956
A method of electronic analog-digital conversion is presented which is based upon coder stages exhibiting either of two types of transfer functions characteristic of the binary code on one hand or the reflected binary or Gray code on the other. By cascading a multiplicity of such stages parallel digital outputs can be obtained continuously without any ...

Nonpositional analog-digital conversion methods

Optoelectronics, Instrumentation and Data Processing, 2015
This paper describes the analysis of analog-digital converters operating in positional and nonpositional number systems. A new method for analog-digital conversion on the basis of the features of a modular number system is proposed.

Multirate analog-digital systems for signal processing and conversion

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1997
Systems containing both analog and digital functions have been investigated with the purpose of realizing mixed-signal integrated circuits with higher levels of functionality and integration. In most cases, such mixed-signal systems are inherently multirate because of the different sampling rates employed at various stages of the system.

Design of hybrid filter banks for analog/digital conversion

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 1998
This paper presents design algorithms for hybrid filter banks (HFBs) for high-speed, high-resolution conversion between analog and digital signals. The HFB is an unconventional class of filter bank that employs both analog and digital filters. When used in conjunction with an array of slower speed converters, the HFB improves the speed and resolution ...

Dynamic error in analog-digital conversion

Measurement Techniques, 1968
A method of determining the error characteristics for the analog-digital conversion of a time-varying quantity has been investigated which takes into account the inherent instrumental errors of the converter and the specific errors of the analog-digital conversion method.

Tx Leakage Impact on Analog-Digital Conversion in Zero-IF Receivers

2009 IEEE 70th Vehicular Technology Conference Fall, 2009
Transmitter Leakage has a significant impact on the system performance in mobile devices using zero-IF receivers and thus requires a suitable compensation. In contrast to analog approaches, digital Tx Leakage compensation approaches can easily be reconfigured and therefore are highly attractive for future mobile devices, using software defined radios ...
