Memristive systems for analog signal processing

2014 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2014
Due to their specific memory effects, memristive systems are potentially useful building blocks for innovative implementations of classical techniques of nonlinear analog signal processing. This paper discusses such properties of memristive systems which would amplify their usefulness in concrete applications.

Superconductive analog signal processing devices

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1989
Real-time signal processing is important in many emerging applications in areas such as pulse-compression radar, spread-spectrum communications, and electronic warfare. The required digitally equivalent computational rate for these applications is on the order of 10/sup 2/ arithmetic operations per second and the required instantaneous bandwidths could

Analog Signal Processing with Organic FETs

2006 IEEE International Solid State Circuits Conference - Digest of Technical Papers, 2006
Regular and differential amplifiers as well as differential-to-single-ended circuits based on organic FETs (OFETs) are demonstrated. A numerical OFET model suitable for analog design is developed.

Analog Signal Processing with netX500

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2009
Abstract The netX family of Hilscher company are highly integrated SoC with the system architecture based on ARM9 CPU, optimized for communication in industrial automation. It offers the migration strategy from field bus to Real-Time-Ethernet. Besides the CPU, a couple of communication channels and peripherals are integrated on the chip.

Low-power analog signal processing

2012 IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference, 2012
The reduction of the power consumption of all electronic functions is a continuous endeavor. This endeavor requires judicious comparison of analog and digital realizations from the point of view of performance per unit of power consumed. Analog signal processing offers the advantage that power consumption can be minimized at both very low and very high

An analog cell and its applications in analog signal processing

International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2011
AbstractThis paper presents a straightforward current‐mode CMOS squarer circuit. The proposed circuit exploits the square‐law characteristic of MOS transistor in saturation region. The squarer circuit is then used to implement multiplier and exponential functions.

Analog signal processing/filtering

IEEE Photonic Society 24th Annual Meeting, 2011
Optics has the potential to solve some of the most exciting problems in information systems. It promises crosstalk-free interconnects with essentially unlimited bandwidth, long-distance data transmission without skew and without power- and time-consuming regeneration, miniaturization, parallelism, and efficient implementation of important algorithms ...

Analog Signal Processing for Heart Rate Extraction

2005 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology 27th Annual Conference, 2005
Heart rate variability (HRV) studies have shown that beat-to-beat interval variability is a strong indicator of a number of medical conditions, including heart failure, diabetes, and hypertension. Current HRV systems typically analyze pre-recorded high resolution ECG recordings.

Analog signal processing first [educational course]

1999 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing. Proceedings. ICASSP99 (Cat. No.99CH36258), 1999
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois recently adopted new undergraduate curricula. The most radical change was the introduction of ECE 210, Analog Signal Processing, in place of both the sophomore-level circuit analysis course and the junior-level signals and systems course.
