Current-mode analogue median filter

ICECS'99. Proceedings of ICECS '99. 6th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.99EX357), 2003
Median filters are very important nonlinear filters, finding many applications in image and speech processing. In recent years analogue implementation of nonlinear filters has gained new interest. In this work, a novel current-mode analogue median filter is proposed.

Relation of resampled switched analogue filters to digital filters†

International Journal of Electronics, 1970
The relation between analogue or continuous filters to their digital counterpart is usually made either through the mathematical Z transform or bi-linear transform of the continuous transfer function. However, if the analogue filter is realized in a network form and then used in conjunction with switching devices, it has been found that by resampling ...

Analogue adaptive filters

2002
In this chapter, to improve the reliability and cost of signal processing electronics, entire systems must be integrated on to a single chip. In many applications, an all-digital or all-analogue system is impossible because both analogue and digital external interfaces are required. So we must assume that both analogue and digital circuits will have to

General synthesis of complex analogue filters

IEE Proceedings - Circuits, Devices and Systems, 2005
General methods for the synthesis of complex band-pass and band-stop analogue filters are developed for implementation by active-RC, gm-C, switched-capacitor (SC) and switched-current (SI) techniques. These principles are extended to synthesis procedures for log-domain complex realisations.

Time‐varying analogue constrained notch filter

International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 1993
AbstractThe idea of discrete constrained notch filters is well known and widely described in the literature. Time‐invariant as well as time‐varying filters are considered. Because of the discrete nature of such filters, their application is limited to sampled signals, usually obtained as samples of low‐frequency signals.

Analogue realisation of integrated FIR filters

IEE Proceedings - Circuits, Devices and Systems, 1996
The paper presents a unified approach to the design of analogue finite impulse response (FIR) filters. As an analogue realisation the multiphase switched-capacitor technique was chosen owing to its high precision and high packing density in CMOS technology.

Design-for-testability of analogue filters

2008
This chapter has been concerned with DfT of, and test techniques for, analogue integrated filters. Many different testable filter structures have been presented. Typical DfT techniques, such as bypassing, multiplexing and OBT have been discussed. Most popular filters such as active-RC, OTA-C and SCs filters have been covered. Test of low-order and high-

Analogue and Digital Filtering of Auditory Brainstem Responses

Scandinavian Audiology, 1981
Auditory brainstem responses (ABRs) to monaural 70 dB nHL clicks in normal adults were recorded with wide bandwidth and stored digitally. Using digital to analogue conversion with expanded time, the ABRs were input to a variable band-pass filter. The order of averaging and filtering was unimportant. Low-pass effects were unremarkable.

The general synthesis of complex analogue filters

9th International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems, 2003
General methods for the synthesis of complex analogue filters are developed for implementation by active-RC, gm-C, switched-capacitor (SC) and switched-current (SI) techniques. These have been incorporated into the filter design software XFILTER.

Realization of 2-D analogue filters

International Journal of Electronics, 1988
In this note a two-dimensional (2-D) analogue filter realization is presented. The structure requires only analogue devices and line delays. It can be utilized to realize any order filter, however, to demonstrate the approach a 2 × 2 filter structure is presented.
