Parametrizing Program Analysis by Lifting to Cardinal Power Domains [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
A parametric analysis is an analysis whose input and output are parametrized with a number of parameters which can be instantiated to abstract properties after analysis is completed. This paper proposes to use Cousot and Cousot's Cardinal power domain to capture functional dependencies of analysis output on its input and obtain a parametric analysis by

Principal Component Analysis

open access: yesEncyclopedia of Biometrics, 2003
Principal component analysis is one of the most important and powerful methods in chemometrics as well as in a wealth of other areas. This paper provides a description of how to understand, use, and interpret principal component analysis.

QTL Analysis

open access: yes, 2006
The study of the intraspecific natural variation existing in Arabidopsis provides a useful resource for the dissection of its genome at the functional, ecological, and evolutionary levels. A major step in these studies is the identification and location of quantitative trait loci (QTLs) determining the variation for trait(s) of interest, so-called QTL ...

A histidine‐rich extension of the mitochondrial F0 subunit ATP6 from the ice worm Mesenchytraeus solifugus increases ATP synthase activity in bacteria

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The glacier ice worm Mesenchytraeus solifugus survives year‐round at 0 °C. Its ATP6 subunit, which forms a regulatory component of the proton pore in mitochondrial ATP synthase, has a carboxy‐terminal extension not found in any other organism examined to date. Here, we show that fusion of this extension to the homologous AtpB protein in E. coli results

CAPITAL STRUCTURE ANALYSIS OF THE MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC-CONSULTATIVE CENTERS IN VARNA (absolute indicators) [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of IMAB, 2016
The capital structure analysis of medical institutions is related to the assessment of their financial sustainability. The degree of their financial sustainability indicates the extent to which the medical institution is exposed to financial risk.

Analysis-suitable T-splines: characterization, refineability, and approximation [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences,Vol. 24, No. 06, pp. 1141-1164 (2014), 2012
We establish several fundamental properties of analysis-suitable T-splines which are important for design and analysis. First, we characterize T-spline spaces and prove that the space of smooth bicubic polynomials, defined over the extended T-mesh of an analysis-suitable T-spline, is contained in the corresponding analysis-suitable T-spline space.
