Time series analysis in the frequency domain
IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference Sensing, Processing, Networking. IMTC Proceedings, 2002This paper presents a parametric frequency domain identification algorithm for autoregressive moving average (ARMA) processes that does not suffer from spectral leakage errors. It is based on an extended transfer function model that takes into account the begin and end effect of the finite data record.

ECG analysis in the Time-Frequency domain
2012 IEEE 12th International Conference on Bioinformatics & Bioengineering (BIBE), 2012The Electrocardiogram (ECG) has been established as a powerful diagnostic tool in medicine which provides important information about the patient's heart condition. The correct identification of the QRS complexes is a fundamental step in every automated or semi-automated ECG analysis method.

Cost analysis in the time domain
European Journal of Operational Research, 1993Abstract Government cost analysts must often construct models using production data that are limited by a contract between the producer and the government. The producer usually does not share cost data with the government unless the contract requires that data are reported.

Analysis of accumulated timing-jitter in the time domain
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 1998This paper deals with the effects of accumulated timing-jitter on the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of real sine waves. Such a problem was recently investigated by the author, using the discrete-Fourier method. However, the frequency-domain analysis has some limitations due to the fact that some of the accumulated timing-jitter noise power, found at the ...

GPR data analysis in time-frequency domain
2012 14th International Conference on Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), 2012Most GPR applications focus on object identifications and multi-dimensional mapping by extensive signal processing tasks in time domain. This approach suffers from the loss of signal originality that characterizes the desired material properties. This paper attempts to introduce another method of signal analysis based on short time-fourier transform ...

Random telegraph noise analysis in time domain
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2000A new procedure for analysis of random telegraph signals in time domain has been developed and applied to the analysis of voltage fluctuations in the current induced dissipative state in superconducting thin films. The procedure, based entirely on the difference in the statistical properties of discrete Marcovian telegraph fluctuations and Gaussian ...

Analysis of symmetrical components in time-domain
48th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2005., 2005This paper presents a novel system for estimating the symmetrical components of a three-phase set of signals in the time-domain. Symmetrical components are significant in the area of power systems and they are used for analysis, design, control and compensation purposes.

Data analysis in dielectric time-domain spectroscopy
[Proceedings] 1992 Annual Report: Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena, 2003An approach for overcoming accuracy problems connected with dielectric time-domain spectroscopy is described. It is pointed out that, for an accurate analysis of data with a large dynamic range and recorded with changes in instrumental parameters such as gain switching, several steps are essential.

EEG Spectral Analysis and Time Domain Descriptors in Headache
Headache: The Journal of Head and Face Pain, 1988SYNOPSIS We compared computerized EEG spectral measures in patients with common migraine, tension headache, complicated migraine, and normal controls. One minute summaries of 4 sec EEG epochs were recorded fromOz‐A1 + A2. Modal alpha frequency (MAF), the predominant frequency in the 8–13 Hz band, maximal alpha frequency (Mx AF), the ...
