Mining the Categorized Software Repositories to Improve the Analysis of Security Vulnerabilities [PDF]
Security has become the Achilles' heel of most modern software systems. Techniques ranging from the manual inspection to automated static and dynamic analyses are commonly employed to identify security vulnerabilities prior to the release of the software.

Comparative Analysis of Software Repository Metrics in BioPerl, BioJava and BioRuby
AbstractThe open source programming languages, often with a bio- suffix, i.e. BioPerl, BioJava, and BioRuby, have been widely used in bioinformatics and computational biology research. The computational tools written in these languages provide multiple functionalities as the languages make them flexible to create customized analysis and examination of ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...
