Variance Analysis of Randomized Consensus in Switching Directed Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper, we study the asymptotic properties of distributed consensus algorithms over switching directed random networks. More specifically, we focus on consensus algorithms over independent and identically distributed, directed Erdos-Renyi random ...

A new method for indicator species analysis in the framework of multivariate analysis of variance

open access: yesJournal of Vegetation Science, 2021
For a set of plots that are grouped according to some external criteria, such as selected environmental variables or different experimental treatments, two relevant questions usually asked by community ecologists are: “Are these groups compositionally ...

One-way analysis of variance with unequal variances. [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 1989
We have designed a statistical test that eliminates the assumption of equal group variances from one-way analysis of variance. This test is preferable to the standard technique of trial-and-error transformation and can be shown to be an extension of the Behrens-Fisher T test to the case of three or more means.

The impact of different nitrogen amount and sources on the yield of three silage corn cultivar (KSC500 - KSC703- KSC704)

open access: yesEnvironment Conservation Journal, 2016
Nitrogen is one of the most important elements required for grain production in different parts of the country. In order to investigate nitrogen consumption in planting three silage corn cultivar: medium Karaj KSC500, new serotinous KSC703 and local ...

Performing Two-Way Analysis of Variance Under Variance Heterogeneity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Small sample properties of the method proposed by Brunner et al. (1997) for performing two-way analysis of variance are compared to those of the normal based ANOVA method for factorial arrangements.

ANOVA_robust: A SAS Macro for Parametric Tests of Mean Differences in One-Factor ANOVA Models

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Software, 2020
Testing the equality of several independent group means is a common statistical practice in the social sciences. The traditional analysis of variance (ANOVA) is one of the most popular methods.

Analysis of variance: Comfortless questions [PDF]

open access: yesComputational Ecology and Software, 2017
In this paper the simplest variant of analysis of variance is under consideration. Three examples from textbooks by Lakin (1990) and Rokitsky (1973) were re-considered.

Estimation of the Effect of Production Parameters on Mechanical Properties of Sintered Steels using ANOVA

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials, 2017
The object of the study was to assess the influence of selected production parameters of sintered Fe-Mn-Cr-Mo-C steels i.e. chemical composition, sintering temperature, sintering atmosphere and heat treatment on the following mechanical properties ...

Mobility and transverse flow visualization using phase variance contrast with spectral domain optical coherence tomography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Phase variance-based motion contrast is demonstrated using two phase analysis methods in a spectral domain optical coherence tomography system. Mobility contrast is demonstrated for an intensity matched Intralipid solution placed without flow within ...

Nominal analysis of “variance” [PDF]

open access: yesBehavior Research Methods, 2009
Nominal responses are the natural way for people to report actions or opinions. Because nominal responses do not generate numerical data, they have been underutilized in behavioral research. On those occasions in which nominal responses are elicited, the responses are customarily aggregated over people or trials so that large-sample statistics can be ...
