On Analytic Theology

open access: yesScientia et Fides, 2015
My primary aims in this paper are to give an overview of a recent movement which goes by the name of ‘analytic theology’, to locate that movement within the larger context of contemporary philosophy of religion, and to identify some of the weakness or objections that analytic theology will need to address moving forward. While I think

The cytoskeletal control of B cell receptor and integrin signaling in normal B cells and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.

Revisiting the Notion of “Analysis” on the Bedrock of Analytic Philosophy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In recent years, there has been a huge resurrection of interest in the idea of ‘analysis,’ encompassing on analytic philosophy. As with any major philosophical movement, it is futile to define or classify any precision of what makes someone an analytic ...

Social context prevents heat hormetic effects against mutagens during fish development

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study shows that sublethal heat stress protects fish embryos against ultraviolet radiation, a concept known as ‘hormesis’. However, chemical stress transmission between fish embryos negates this protective effect. By providing evidence for the mechanistic molecular basis of heat stress hormesis and interindividual stress communication, this study ...

Approximate Matching of Analytic and Numerical Solutions for Rapidly Rotating Neutron Stars

open access: yes, 2003
We investigate the properties of a closed-form analytic solution recently found by Manko et al. (2000) for the exterior spacetime of rapidly rotating neutron stars.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE QUALITY MANAGEMENT IN FISH BREEDING

open access: yesScientific Papers Animal Science and Biotechnologies, 2023
The economic transition, that actually takes part in the Republic of Moldova, raised a number of questions for the society, that suppose a radical reorganization both of the people’s behavior and the way of thinking. These problems are oriented to achieve

miRNA‐29 regulates epidermal and mesenchymal functions in skin repair

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
miRNA‐29 inhibits cell‐to‐cell and cell‐to‐matrix adhesion by silencing mRNA targets. Adhesion is controlled by complex interactions between many types of molecules coded by mRNAs. This is crucial for keeping together the layers of the skin and for regenerating the skin after wounding.

Infinitesimal deformation quantization of complex analytic spaces

open access: yes, 2006
Global constructions of quantization deformation and obstructions are discussed for an arbitrary complex analytic space in terms of adapted (analytic) Hochschild cohomology.

The radius of convexity of certain analytic functions II

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1980
In [2], MacGregor found the radius of convexity of the functions f(z)=z+a2z2+a3z3+…, analytic and univalent such that |f′(z)−1|

Spot‐14 and its paralog Spot‐14R regulate expression of metabolic and thermogenic pathway genes in murine brown and beige adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Spot‐14 and Spot‐14R play distinct roles in regulating metabolism in brown and beige adipocytes. While both influence lipid and glucose pathways, Spot‐14 uniquely controls thermogenic gene expression. This dual regulation balances energy storage and heat production, highlighting potential therapeutic targets for obesity and metabolic disorders. Spot 14
