The theory of inhomogeneous analytic materials is developed. These are materials where the coefficients entering the equations involve analytic functions. Three types of analytic materials are identified. The first two types involve an integerp. Ifptakes its maximum value, then we have a complete analytic material.

The Lie group of real analytic diffeomorphisms is not real analytic
We construct an infinite dimensional real analytic manifold structure for the space of real analytic mappings from a compact manifold to a locally convex manifold.

On Analytic Vectors for Unitary Representations of Infinite Dimensional Lie Groups [PDF]
Let $G$ be a 1-connected Banach-Lie group or, more generally, a BCH--Lie group. On the complex enveloping algebra $U_\C(\g)$ of its Lie algebra $\g$ we define the concept of an analytic functional and show that every positive analytic functional $\lambda$

The unpredictably eruptive dynamics of spruce budworm populations in eastern Canada
We examine historical population data for spruce budworm from several locations through the period 1930–1997, and use density‐dependent recruitment curves to test whether the pattern of population growth over time is more consistent with Royama's (1984; Ecological Monographs 54:429–462) linear R(t) model of harmonic oscillation at Green River New ...

On real analytic orbifolds and Riemannian metrics
We begin by showing that every real analytic orbifold has a real analytic Riemannian metric. It follows that every reduced real analytic orbifold can be expressed as a quotient of a real analytic manifold by a real analytic almost free action of a ...

Network topology drives population temporal variability in experimental habitat networks
Habitat patches connected by dispersal pathways form habitat networks. We explored how network topology affects population outcomes in laboratory experiments using a model species (Daphnia carinata). Central habitat nodes in complex lattice networks exhibited lower temporal variability in population sizes, suggesting they support more stable ...

Geographic variation in walking activity in the red flour beetle Tribolium castaneum
This study examined whether there is geographic variation in field populations, focusing on the moving activity in the red flour beetle Tribolium castaneum. Results showed significant differences in moving activity among field populations but no correlation with latitude or meteorological factors.

Antibody responses, involving B cells, CD4 + T cells, and macrophages, are implicated in autoimmune diseases and organ transplant rejection. We have previously shown that inhibiting FROUNT with disulfiram (DSF) suppresses macrophage activation and ...

The patient journey toward a diagnosis of hereditary transthyretin (ATTRv) amyloidosis
Background Despite emerging treatments for hereditary transthyretin (ATTRv) amyloidosis, the disease is often misdiagnosed, with reported diagnostic delays of up to several years.
