Incidence and Risk Factors of Serious Osteonecrosis in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: A CYP‐C Population‐Based Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Osteonecrosis (ON) is a debilitating complication of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) therapy. While numerous studies have explored its incidence and associated risk factors, investigations using large‐scale cohorts remain important to characterize ON across heterogeneous populations.

A scoping review of human digital twins in healthcare applications and usage patterns

open access: yesnpj Digital Medicine
Digital twins have become increasingly popular across various industries as dynamic virtual models of physical systems. In healthcare, Human Digital Twins (HDTs) serve as virtual counterparts to patients.

Improving the Evaluation and Management of Transfusion‐Related Iron Overload in Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults Following Cancer Treatment or Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Transfusion‐related iron overload (TRIO) is a late effect of therapy impacting survivors of childhood cancer and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) who receive frequent packed red blood cell (pRBC) transfusions. Surprisingly, there are no accepted guidelines to assist providers in identifying and treating at‐risk ...

Reliability and maintainability assessment factors for reliable fault-tolerant systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
A long term goal of the NASA Langley Research Center is the development of a reliability assessment methodology of sufficient power to enable the credible comparison of the stochastic attributes of one ultrareliable system design against others.

The RARE model: a generalized approach to random relaxation processes in disordered systems

open access: yes, 2012
This paper introduces and analyses a general statistical model, termed the RARE model, of random relaxation processes in disordered systems. The model considers excitations, that are randomly scattered around a reaction center in a general embedding ...

Novel Genetic Risk Factor Identified for L‐Asparaginase‐Induced Pancreatitis in Pediatric Patients With Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background L‐asparaginase is a critical component in treatment protocols for pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Acute pancreatitis reactions can necessitate delays and, in some cases, discontinuation of L‐asparaginase, which compromises outcomes.

Analytic nilpotent centers as limits of nondegenerate centers revisited

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2016
We prove that all the nilpotent centers of planar analytic differential systems are limit of centers with purely imaginary eigenvalues, and consequently the Poincaré--Liapunov method to detect centers with purely imaginary eigenvalues can be used to detect nilpotent centers. The first and third authors are partially supported by a MICINN grant number
