Quantum Dots for Biomedical Biosensing, NIR‐II Bioimaging, and Phototherapy: Materials Design, Signal Transduction, and Translational Barriers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review outlines bottom‐up and biomimetic fabrication strategies of quantum dots, and highlights their emerging applications in biosensing, multimodal bioimaging, and intelligent cancer theranostics. It further discusses key translational barriers and future perspectives for advancing QD‐based nanomedicine toward clinical implementation.

Brentano on Intentionality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Brentano’s account of what he called intentionale Inexistenz — what we now call intentionality — is without question one of the most important parts of his philosophy, and one of the most influential ideas in late 19th-century philosophy.

State-Sponsored Injustice: The Case of Eugenic Sterilization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In analytic political philosophy, it is common to view state-sponsored injustice as the work of a corporate agent. But as I argue, structural injustice theory provides grounds for reassessing the agential approach, producing new insights into state ...

A Worm‐Inspired Origami Robot with Multimodal Locomotion for Adaptive Mobility in Complex Pipeline Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An origami worm‐inspired robot achieves multimodal locomotion in confined pipelines through mechatronic integration that embeds actuation, control, and communication within each origami module. Large, reversible configuration and dimensional changes enable 25 gaits synthesized by a unified framework across peristaltic, inchworm, and wheel‐rolling modes

Architecture Thinking in a ‘Post-truth Era’: Recalibrations through analytic philosophy

open access: yesFootprint, 2017
This issue of Footprint explores the potential role of analytic philosophy in the context of architecture’s typical affinity with continental philosophy over the past three decades.

Analytic Philosophy and History: A Mismatch? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In recent years, even some of its own practitioners have accused analytic philosophy of lacking historical awareness. My aim is to show that analytic philosophy and history are not such a mismatch after all.

Integrated Single‐Cell and Spatial Analysis Reveals a Metabolic‐Immune Axis Driving Aortic Dissection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell and spatial profiling of 110 human thoracic aortic samples reveals a stromal–immune circuit driving aortic dissection. An elastin‐rich fibroblast subset is depleted with age and markedly reduced in disease, weakening aortic wall integrity.

Mechanically Adaptive Polyimide Interfaces for Stable High‐Voltage NCM–Sulfide All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A mechanically adaptive polyimide interface dynamically stabilizes single‐crystal cathodes in sulfide all‐solid‐state batteries. By integrating robust chemical coordination with viscoelastic compliance, this smart coating suppresses parasitic reactions and accommodates cyclic volume expansion.

Hadamard Matrix Slicing Single‐Pixel Imaging: Establishing a Linear‐Array‐Inspired Paradigm for N‐fold Acceleration Single‐Pixel Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To overcome two‐dimensional modulation bottlenecks, Hadamard Matrix Slicing Single‐Pixel Imaging (HMS‐SPI) establishes an efficient one‐dimensional imaging paradigm. By slicing the traditional Hadamard matrix into one‐dimensional encoding vectors and spatially expanding them, the required measurement patterns decrease by a factor of N.

De Dicto and De Re: A Brandomian experiment on Kierkegaard [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
During the last few decades, the historical turn within the tradition of the analytic tradition has experienced growing enthusiasm concerning the procedure of rational reconstruction, whose validity or importance, despite its paradigmatic examples in ...
