Multidimensional Analytic Signal with Application on Graphs [PDF]
In this work we provide an extension to analytic signal method for multidimensional signals. First, expressions for separate phase-shifted components are given. Second, we show that phase-shifted components could be obtained from hypercomplex Fourier transform in the algebra of commuta-tive hypercomplex numbers.

The generalized analytic signal
AbstractThis paper is an explication of the analytic signal in the generalized case, i.e., the analytic signal of a generalized function and of a generalized stochastic process. The contributions of the author are: (1) an L2-theory of distributions which, in the study of the analytic signal, has an advantage over the usual Schwartz-Itô-Gel'fand theory ...

Interpretation of magnetic anomalies using the horizontal gradient analytic signal
In recent years the analytic signal method has been of great utility in the interpretation of potential field data. The amplitude of the 3D analytic signal of magnetic data yields information on the location of the edges of the sources in both the ...

This technical report covers a fundamental problem of 2D local phase based signal processing: the isotropic generalization of the analytic signal (D. Gabor) for two dimensional signals. The analytic signal extends a real valued 1D signal to a complex valued signal by means of the classical 1D Hilbert transform.

Subsurface structure investigation of the United Arab Emirates using gravity data
The crustal structure beneath the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is still relatively unknown. Here, we use regional gravity data to constrain the subsurface density distribution and structure of the crust of the UAE by applying diverse gravity derivatives ...

This paper introduces a two-dimensional generalization of the analytic signal. This novel approach is based on the Riesz transform, which is used instead of the Hilbert transform.
