Safety of Daprodustat for the Treatment of Chronic Kidney Disease Anemia: Final Analysis of a Multicenter Postmarketing Surveillance Study in Japan

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction This final analysis of a multicenter, prospective postmarketing surveillance study evaluated the safety of daprodustat in patients with chronic kidney disease anemia in routine clinical practice in Japan. Methods Patients who initiated daprodustat between September 2020 and July 2022 were registered.

Parametrically modulated oscillator dimer: an analytic solution

open access: yes, 2002
A dimer consisting of two coupled oscillators undergoing periodic parametric modulations with a phase difference 0 reveals a rich panorama of stability-instability boundaries as a function of the system parameters.

Forecasting the Dialysis Burden in Japan: Validation‐Based Projections of Prevalence and Incidence Through 2050

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

An Analytic Flow Solution for YSO Jets

open access: yes, 1998
We present an analytic solution for a jet flow from a young stellar object (YSO). This solution allows us to compute the speed, density, and magnetic field strength of the flow, but it is only true if YSO jet flows are powered by toroidal magnetic fields.

Association Between Individualized Education for Kidney Replacement Therapy Modality Selection and Peritoneal Dialysis Initiation: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is an established home‐based kidney replacement therapy (KRT), but its uptake remains low in Japan. We evaluated whether individualized education in a dedicated outpatient clinic was associated with the initiation of PD.

Theoretical investigation and sensitivity analysis of non-Newtonian fluid during roll coating process by response surface methodology

open access: yesOpen Physics
In the current investigation, we propose the analytical and numerical solutions of the Navier–Stokes equation for the reverse roll coating process (RRCP) using a bath of the Sisko fluid model (SFM).

Analytic solution of partial differential equations with Adomian's decomposition

open access: yes, 2012
Adomian's method is completed to obtain the analytic solution of any partial differential equation with boundary conditions defined on the four sides of a rectangle.

Effect of DFPP on Ferroptosis in Peripheral Blood CD14+ Monocytes of Hyperlipidemic Patients Involving the ACSL4/LPCAT3/ALOX5 Pathway

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Hyperlipidemia is a major risk factor for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). Although statins are the cornerstone of lipid‐lowering therapy, their use may be limited in some patients by adverse effects. This study evaluated the possible impact of non‐drug treatment using double‐filtration plasmapheresis (DFPP) on CD14+

Mathematics of Epidemics: On the General Solution of SIRVD, SIRV, SIRD, and SIR Compartment Models

open access: yesMathematics
The susceptible–infected–recovered–vaccinated–deceased (SIRVD) epidemic compartment model extends the SIR model to include the effects of vaccination campaigns and time-dependent fatality rates on epidemic outbreaks.
