Approximate analytical solution of generalized diode equation
IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 1991An approximate but very precise analytical solution is derived of a generalized diode equation. This solution can be used in the theory of semiconductor diodes, photodetectors, solar cells, FETs (field-effect transistors), Gunn domain, and other areas of device physics.

Approximate Analytical Solutions for the Colebrook Equation
Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, 2018AbstractFriction factor determination is important for modeling fluid flows in pipes. The Colebrook equation has been widely used for estimating the pipe friction factor in fully developed turbulen...

Dispersion in Three Dimensions: Approximate Analytic Solutions
Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1982Solutions to three-dimensional convection dispersion equation under different boundary conditions are obtained by integrating the appropriate Green's functions. Two approximations are used during the integration. First, error function differences are approximated by exponential functions through Taylor expansion.
