Analytical Solutions of Singular Isothermal Quadrupole Lens
Using analytical method, we study the Singular Isothermal Quadrupole (SIQ) lens system, which is the simplest lens model that can produce four images.

Angiotensin II (AngII), a neuropeptide, interacts with amyloid‐β (Aβ), a key player in Alzheimer's disease. This study reveals that AngII reduces Aβ aggregation and membrane disruption in vitro. Biophysical assays and molecular modeling suggest AngII binds disordered Aβ forms, potentially modulating early amyloidogenic events and contributing to ...

From the sea bottom to the red planet with laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy [PDF]
Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) constitutes one of the most active research fields in analytical science. Among several important features, ability for adaptation to radically different scenarios constitutes its most valuable asset.

We study some particular solutions to the Navier-Stokes-Poisson equations with density-dependent viscosity and with pressure, in radial symmetry. With extension of the previous known blowup solutions for the Euler-Poisson equations / pressureless Navier ...

Atovaquone is an antimalarial requiring potentiation for sufficient efficacy. We pursued strategies to enhance its activity, showing that 4‐nitrobenzoate inhibits 4‐hydroxybenzoate polyprenyltransferase, decreasing ubiquinone biosynthesis. Since atovaquone competes with ubiquinol in mitochondria, 4‐nitrobenzoate facilitates its action, potentiating ...

We present the exact and iterative solutions of the radial Schr\"{o}dinger equation for a class of potential, $V(r)=\frac{A}{r^{2}}-\frac{B}{r}+Cr^{\kappa}$, for various values of $\kappa$ from -2 to 2, for any $n$ and $l$ quantum states by applying the ...

Cells must clear mislocalized or faulty proteins from membranes to survive. The AAA+ ATPase Msp1 performs this task, but dissecting how its six subunits work together is challenging. We engineered linked dimers with varied numbers of functional subunits to reveal how Msp1 subunits cooperate and use energy to extract proteins from the lipid bilayer ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Analytical solutions to constrained hypersonic flight trajectories [PDF]
The flight trajectory of aerospace vehicles subject to a class of path constraints is considered. The constrained dynamics is shown to be a natural two-time-scale system. Asymptotic analytical solutions are obtained.

CCT4 promotes tunneling nanotube formation
Tunneling nanotubes (TNTs) are membranous tunnel‐like structures that transport molecules and organelles between cells. They vary in thickness, and thick nanotubes often contain microtubules in addition to actin fibers. We found that cells expressing monomeric CCT4 generate many thick TNTs with tubulin.
