Stopped-Flow Kinetic Investigation of Manganese-based Chemiluminescence Oxidation Reactions [PDF]

open access: yes
In order to better understand the mechanism of solution manganese-based chemilumines-cence, the kinetics of a number of chemiluminescent oxidations by manganese species were studied using stopped-flow spectrophotometry.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Modeling and optimization of ink adhesion on untreated hybrid jute polypropylene fabrics using factorial design and exploratory analysis

open access: yesMaterials Research Express
This study methodically examined the adhesion capability of water-based ink formulations on untreated hybrid jute–polypropylene fabric. Four components of the ink composition—wax, silicone, solvent, and maleic—were tested for their individual and ...

Model Development and Stability Analysis for a Turbocharger Rotor System under Multi-Field Coupled Forces [PDF]

open access: yes
Automotive turbochargers have been widely applied in vehicles in order to increase the power output of internal combustion engines by increasing the air to fuel ratio entering the piston cylinders.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Multiple scattering of light in optical diagnostics of dense sprays and other complex turbid media [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Sprays and other industrially relevant turbid media can be quantitatively and qualitatively characterized using modern optical diagnostics. However, current laser based techniques generate errors in the dense region of sprays due to the multiple ...
