A senomorphic miRNA cocktail (E5), consisting of miR‐181a‐5p, miR‐92a‐3p, miR‐21‐5p, and miR‐186‐5p, was identified from a pool of miRNAs enriched in extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from multiple functional human stem cell types. E5 reduces senescence and SASP markers both in cell culture and in aged mice.

Abstract Background It is well‐established that spermatogenesis, semen quality, and reproductive hormones are interlinked. It is, however, less well‐described how various specific testicular histopathologies are linked to reproductive hormones and semen quality.

Birds are known to harbour a wide range of pathogenic viruses, including the beak and feather disease virus (BFDV; species, Circovirus parrot), which poses a significant threat to the conservation of endangered avian species. This study reports the genomic identification and characterisation of a novel psittaciform chaphamaparvovirus (PsChPV‐6) and ...

Ellagic acid (EA) was loaded in small extracellular vehicles (sEVs) derived from chorionic plate‐mesenchymal stem cells (CP‐MSCs) and then encapsulated in GelMA to construct Gel‐EA‐sEVs, which can be a promising treatment approach for diabetic wounds by improving biological functions of skin repair cells.

EC‐EXOs could regulate the differentiation of BMSCs through the key protein THBS3, which inhibits their differentiation to lipogenic cells and promotes their differentiation to osteoblasts. THBS3 could down‐regulate the expression of its downstream target CD47 and delay the process of bone loss in aged mice and OVX mice, which may provide a novel ...

Calibrating analytical ultracentrifuges
European Biophysics Journal, 2021Analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC) is based on the concept of recording and analyzing macroscopic macromolecular redistribution that results from a centrifugal force acting on the mass of suspended macromolecules in solution. Since AUC rests on first principles, it can provide an absolute measurement of macromolecular mass, sedimentation and ...

MODERN APPLICATIONS OF ANALYTICAL ULTRACENTRIFUGATION
Annual Review of Biophysics and Biomolecular Structure, 1999Analytical ultracentrifugation is a classical method of biochemistry and molecular biology. Because it is a primary technique, sedimentation can provide first-principle hydrodynamic and first-principle thermodynamic information for nearly any molecule, in a wide range of solvents and over a wide range of solute concentrations. For many questions, it is

Abstract With the use of a Model E analytical ultracentrifuge equipped with a photoelectric scanner, a technique for obtaining isokinetic patterns of moving zones has been developed by monitoring a fixed area of the analytical cell as a function of time. Small amounts of material spread over a very wide range of sedimentation coefficients can be used

Analytical Ultracentrifugation
Current Protocols in Protein Science, 1996AbstractAnalytical ultracentrifugation is one of the most powerful, though as yet underexploited, techniques available to molecular biology and biochemistry. This overview describes applications for analytical ultracentrifugation along with important considerations relating to experimental design.
