Analytical model of the LPL with wake up after transmissions MAC protocol for WSNs
2009 6th International Symposium on Wireless Communication Systems, 2009The LWT-MAC protocol extends the normal operation of B-MAC by taking advantage of the local synchronization that can be achieved after each packet transmission. Sensor nodes wake up at the end of each successful transmission to send or receive messages eliminating the need for the long preamble transmission.

Previous work developed a state-space free wake model that could be numerically linearized via finite differences into a Linear Time Periodic (LTP) system, but the numerical linearization process was computationally expensive.

Analytical Modelling of Wake-Interaction Noise in Centrifugal Compressors with Vaned Diffuser
10th AIAA/CEAS Aeroacoustics Conference, 2004The paper is dealing with the upstream propagation of wake-interaction noise in a subsonic centrifugal compressor with a vaned diffuser. The acoustic sources on the diffuser vanes, not investigated here, are assumed to force pressure patterns that are determined by the compared numbers of blades and vanes and the impeller rotation speed.
