In vitro rhizogenesis of Ananas comosus var. erectifolius under influence of synthetic auxins
Ananas comosus var. erectifolius is a bromeliad native of the Amazon Complex has aroused great interest of the industries due to a softness, strength and low density of fibers extracted from its leaves. The frequent demand and effective protocols for in vitro regeneration and establishment of species, of commercial and environmental interest ...

Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA) with Construction Waste and Curauá Fiber (Ananas erectifolius)
The SMA mixtures are characterized by a high void ratio, which favors binder draindown. In order to avoid this effect, fibers are added to the mixture, which in this case came from Curauá da Amazônia (Ananas erectifolius). The final composition studied resulted in 75% coarse aggregate, 15% fine aggregate, 10% filler, 0.3% of the Curauá fiber residue ...

The bracteatus pineapple genome and domestication of clonally propagated crops [PDF]
Domestication of clonally propagated crops such as pineapple from South America was hypothesized to be a 'one-step operation'. We sequenced the genome of Ananas comosus var.

Tricin‐lignins: occurrence and quantitation of tricin in relation to phylogeny
Summary Tricin [5,7‐dihydroxy‐2‐(4‐hydroxy‐3,5‐dimethoxyphenyl)‐4H‐chromen‐4‐one], a flavone, was recently established as an authentic monomer in grass lignification that likely functions as a nucleation site. It is linked onto lignin as an aryl alkyl ether by radical coupling with monolignols or their acylated analogs.
