Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal, 2008This is the first case of Anaplasma phagocytophilum infection described in Cyprus. A 9-year-old girl was infected after a tick-bite. The infection was diagnosed by molecular-based detection of the bacterium in 2 blood samples.
