Surgical Endoscopy, 2005
The feasibility of laparoscopic resection of choledochal cyst and hepaticojejunostomy in children is still unclear. This report presents the author's experience with a first series of patients.Data from 11 consecutive children (median age 17.5 months, SD 22, range 2 to 70) with choledochal cyst scheduled for laparoscopy were collected prospectively ...

Bleeding From Postoperative (Hepato-Jejunostomy—Roux en Y) Anastomosis Demonstrated by Labeled RBCs
Clinical Nuclear Medicine, 1995Tc-99m labeled RBC scintigraphy is a sensitive, noninvasive method for detection of acute gastrointestinal bleeding. Because most gastrointestinal bleedings are intermittent, RBC scintigraphy establishes that the patient is actively bleeding at the time of imaging, and directs angiography to the general area of the bleeding site for accurate detection ...

Digestive Endoscopy, 2009
Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is the gold standard for the treatment of patients with pancreaticobiliary disorders, but endoscopic therapy is very difficult to carry out in patients with a Roux‐en‐Y anastomosis. We herein present the results of ERCP for patients with a Roux‐en‐Y anastomosis using a double‐balloon endoscope.

Retrograde intussusception as a complication of Roux-en-Y anastomosis.
Surgery, 1991We report a case of a serious complication of a Roux-en-Y reconstruction in which an antiperistaltic jejunojejunal intussusception created a strangulating intestinal obstruction. It is suggested that this complication may be an extreme form of the so-called Roux-en-Y stasis syndrome.

Partial gastrectomy with gastrojejunal anastomosis including Roux-en-Y reconstruction
1994In 1881 Billroth performed the first successful partial gastrectomy for cancer. It was Shoemaker in 1911, however, who extended the indication for partial gastrectomy to include benign ulcer disease. For over 30 years thereafter subtotal gastrectomy became an important operation for peptic ulcer.
