Reoperative pouch surgery for suspected Crohn's‐related complications aided by biologic coverage: Early experience from an inflammatory bowel disease center

This paper demonstrates that revisional/redo ileal pouch anal anastomosis (IPAA) surgery with concurrent biologic therapy provides a viable, stoma‐free alternative for patients with Crohn's disease‐like complications, showing a high functioning pouch rate and expanding options for managing pouch failure.

Health‐related quality of life following total minimally invasive, hybrid minimally invasive or open oesophagectomy: a population‐based cohort study

All patients operated for oesophageal cancer in Sweden from 2013 to April 2018 were identified, and 246 patients were recruited to this population‐based nationwide Swedish study. The results show that longitudinal health‐related quality of life after minimally invasive oesophagectomy was similar to that of the open surgical approach.

Does surgical intervention contribute to survival for patients with para‐aortic lymph node metastasis from colorectal cancer?

Overall survival of patients who underwent surgical resection was significantly better compared to that of patients who underwent chemotherapy without surgical resection. These results highlight the benefit of surgical intervention to survival for patients with isolated para‐aortic lymph node metastasis or with resectable liver metastasis.
