Hammock Anastomosis: A Nonrefluxing Ureteroileal Anastomosis
Journal of Urology, 1988During a 9-year period diversion was performed in 48 patients by an antireflux ureteroileal anastomosis. Followup was possible in 30 patients (57 renal units). Among these 57 ureteroileal anastomoses only 3 cases of stenosis (6 per cent) and 11 cases of reflux (less than 20 per cent) were observed.

Nonsuture intestinal anastomosis
The American Journal of Surgery, 1964Abstract 1. 1. Experience in the dog with nonsuture intestinal anastomosis utilizing a plastic adhesive (Eastman 910 adhesive) is presented. This method results in an everting rather than an inverting anastomosis. 2. 2. Of 101 intestinal anastomoses, sixty-seven were satisfactory anastomoses and thirty-four were failures. 3. 3.

Abstract We report a patient who underwent anastomosis of the left oculomotor nerve, which had been inadvertently and bluntly severed during the resection of a left parasellar chromophobe pituitary adenoma. Neural regeneration was confirmed by the reappearance of voluntary adduction of the eyeball, clinical signs of aberrant regeneration,

Bifurcated anastomosis is a technique wherein geometrically tailored flaps of a vein graft are anastomosed to an arteriotomy in a vessel and its two branches. Although this technique may be useful for the surgical management of any diseased arterial bifurcation, it is particularly valuable in coronary endarterectomy or when complete revascularization ...

The Laryngoscope, 1973
AbstractA case of traumatic peripheral facial palsy incurred during the removal of an acoustic neuroma via a subâoccipital craniectomy is presented. The palsy was rehabilitated by using the ingenious method of Dott with a modification. In this, the second anastomosis between the distal end of the peripheral (sural) nerve graft and the distal trunk of ...

Sutureless anastomosis using a biofragmentable anastomosis ring
Surgery Today, 1995The biofragmentable anastomosis ring (BAR) is composed of polyglycolic acid and barium sulfate. When used for intestinal anastomosis, the BAR fragments after the anastomosis is established. We used this device in 43 patients. In three patients, the anastomosis with BAR was abandoned due to technical difficulties. A total of 43 anastomoses with BAR were

Intestinal anastomosis with the biofragmentable anastomosis ring
The American Journal of Surgery, 1998The fear of anastomotic complications prevents the spread of the use of the biofragmentable anastomosis ring (BAR) in intestinal surgery.A total of 453 patients underwent intestinal resection and anastomosis with the BAR.In all, 514 anastomoses have been carried out, 424 (83%) in elective settings, and 90 (18%) in emergency.

Funneled Ureteroileal Anastomosis
Journal of Urology, 1982We analyzed the functional results of urinary diversion in 21 patients who had a funneled ureteroileal anastomosis to avoid stricture and stenosis. No attempt was made to avoid reflux from the conduit to the ureter but special care was taken to construct a cutaneous stoma to prevent reflux from the appliance.

Laparoscopic tubal anastomosis
The Journal of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, 1993We conducted a retrospective chart review of 22 laparoscopic tubal anastomoses performed between May 1987 and May 1991. The procedures were modeled after the two-stitch technique of Swolin. Overall fertility rates were disappointing in this small series, although the first live birth has occurred. The two-stitch method and available laparoscopic suture
